It is widely considered a smaller version of Bryce Canyon National Park. Kolob Canyons offers views of some of Zion’s distinct towering monoliths without the crowds so common in Zion Canyon, the most-visited section of the park.

Closer proximity to Brian Head Resort also makes the Abbey Inn of Cedar City, Utah desirable among the motels of the Abbey Inn Group. Brian Head, the Utah ski area boasting the highest base elevation, offers 50 runs on 500 acres accessed by eight total lifts. Known for its family friendly atmosphere, the resort also features a lift-served snow-tubing park. In the summer, Brian Head becomes a mountain biking park providing access to over 200 miles of trails.
